It’s a sure sign that “Spooky Season” is officially on the waywhen Spirit Halloween stores start popping up at open-air shopping centers. In addition to providing a comprehensive one-stop shop for Halloween costumes, decorations and props, Spirit Halloween stores create a family-friendly, interactive shopping environment. “Spirit Halloween’s approach speaks directly to what today’s consumers want from an in-store retail experience – kids of all ageslove the animation and displays,” noted LMC’s Sidney Singer, vice president of leasing.
Spirit Halloween’s pop-up shops are more than a successful business model for this seasonal retailer; temporary store locations also benefit the shopping centers where they are located. “It’s a positive for a property that has available space or space in transition between tenants,” Singer said. “A seasonal store adds a nice little income as well as a boost of foot traffic. It’s a real win-win-win situation for the landlord, co-tenants and consumers alike.”
