Tenant Activity Continues at Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack, N.Y.

Latest Additions Expand Retail, Dining Options at Levin-Managed Property

Robust tenant activity has continued this summer at Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack. New commitments with beauty retailer Sephora (5,000 SF) and Mimi’s Coffee and Bubble Tea (1,200 SF) come as the property celebrates the recent openings of PGA TOUR Superstore and its newest restaurant, JBBQ & Shabu Shabu.

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 222,000-square-foot Jericho Turnpike retail destination. “Exciting things are happening at Mayfair Shopping Center,” said E.J. Moawad, LMC senior leasing representative, who headed negotiations to bring all four retailers to the property.

“Sephora and PGA TOUR Superstore are strong, nationally recognized brands and significant traffic generators,” Moawad added. “Meanwhile, JBBQ & Shabu Shabu and Mimi’s Coffee and Bubble Tea complement the property’s attractive dining lineup. These new additions contribute to Mayfair Shopping Center’s appeal by enhancing its overall ‘destination’ atmosphere for area consumers.”

• Sephora is a leader in prestige omni-channel retail. With more than 2,700 stores in 35 countries worldwide, the chain carries thousands of products from more than 360 brands including makeup, skincare, hair care and fragrances. Jack Chera, Virginia Pittarelli and Christine Jorge from Crown Retail Services represented Sephora in the Mayfair Shopping Center lease.
• Mimi’s Coffee and Bubble Tea is a new business venture for experienced restaurant operators Hong Liu and Linda Zhou. Along with coffee and bubble tea, the shop will offer a selection of bakery items.
• The country’s leading specialty retailer for golf and tennis, PGA TOUR Superstore leased 40,000 square feet in the spring and will open its new location later this year. The store will be staffed with teaching professionals and carry a wide selection of equipment, accessories and apparel.
• JBBQ & Shabu Shabu recently marked its grand opening at the property. The restaurant blends a trendy atmosphere with a distinctive menu of Japanese-style barbecue and hot pot dishes. Meet Izakaya Ramen & Bar, another restaurant from the same operator, opened at Mayfair Shopping Center last year.

Over the past 18 months, Mayfair Shopping Center has also added top-ranked grocer Lidl and Planet Fitness. These fresh faces have joined an existing lineup of national, regional and local retailers and service providers that includes Rite Aid, Jos. A. Bank, Loft, Sherwin Williams, Northwell Go Health, Outback Steakhouse, Bagel Toasterie, Original Brooklyn Pizza, Capital One Bank, D’Ore Jewelers, Prato 850, Music & Arts, The Crushed Olive, Tropical Smoothie and Verizon Wireless, among others.

Located just east of the Sunken Meadow Parkway, Mayfair Shopping Center draws 1.7 million visits per year, according to real time traffic data from Placer.ai. The property serves a growing population of more than 200,000 people within a five-mile radius.
