New Lease, Anchor Extension Continue Momentum at High Pointe Commons

Transactions Total Nearly 38,000 SF at Levin-Managed Center in Harrisburg, Pa.

A new commitment with athletic shoe and apparel franchise Fleet Feet (2,700 SF) and a long-term lease extension with junior anchor Christmas Tree Shops (35,000 SF) underscore a period of steady transactional activity at High Pointe Commons in Harrisburg.

Commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 325,000-square-foot regional shopping center. LMC Leasing Representative Fred Younkin arranged both transactions on behalf of the property’s ownership.

The largest franchisor of locally owned and operated running stores in the country, Fleet Feet helps runners, walkers and fitness enthusiasts of all abilities find the best fitting shoe. Fleet Feet’s 3D foot scanning technology ensures the perfect footwear and fit. Stores carry many of the top running and athletic lifestyle brands in the market today, along with apparel and accessories.

The new High Pointe Commons Fleet Feet is co-owned by Fred and Shelby Joslyn. The couple has owned the Fleet Feet store in nearby Mechanicsburg since 2015. “We pride ourselves on being approachable and walking customers through the entire process to ensure the exact shoe that works for them,” said Fred Joslyn.

“High Pointe Commons is an exciting place for us to be,” he added. “We are committed to building relationships. As a local business, it’s important for us to be involved in the community, and we are passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals. We hold many of our own runs and races each year, and lend support to other running events – something we look forward to continuing here.”

Additionally this fall, specialty retailer Christmas Tree Shops – a tenant at High Pointe Commons since 2007 – extended its commitment at the shopping center. The popular brand’s merchandise selection ranges from seasonal and home décor to food, party supplies, furniture and more.

“Great things are happening at High Pointe Commons,” Younkin said. “Fleet Feet is a wonderful addition to the tenant mix and will attract even more customers to the center. Christmas Tree Shops has been a long-time presence at High Pointe Commons; this lease extension underscores the confidence that tenants have in the property as a business location.”

The latest commitments follow a recent lease with Sugaring NYC Organic Waxing & Lash Studio (opening soon). These tenants will join shadow anchors Target and JCPenney, along with Orangetheory Fitness, Sally Beauty, Petco, T-Mobile, Lane Bryant, GameStop, Famous Footwear, GNC, Hair Cuttery and others. The property’s robust dining mix includes Panera Bread, Subway, Chili’s, Tropical Smoothie Café, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Teriyaki Madness, Five Guys and Friendly’s.
