Levin Management Corporation Honored by Long Island Business News for J.Crew Factory Deal at Mayfair Shopping Center

Long Island Business News (LIBN) has selected Levin Management Corporation (LMC) as a recipient of a 2025 Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Award, recognizing the firm’s role in the successful lease transaction that brought J.Crew Factory to Mayfair Shopping Center, located at 10-2020 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, NY.

The honor was awarded based on the outstanding work of E.J. Moawad, Senior Leasing Representative at LMC, who represents the property on behalf of the client and has spearheaded the leasing efforts for the center. E.J. negotiated the 6,800-square-foot lease with J.Crew Factory, securing a high-profile tenant that enhances Mayfair Shopping Center’s dynamic roster, which includes other national brands such as Lidl, PGA Tour Superstore, Planet Fitness, LOFT, Jos. A. Bank and Sephora.

In addition to securing J.Crew Factory, E.J. recently completed two more leases with Kid Empire and My Gym, further strengthening Mayfair’s appeal by introducing experiential and fitness-focused tenants that enhance its community atmosphere.

Today, Mayfair Shopping Center stands at 92% occupancy, marking a major comeback following the significant challenges of COVID-era bankruptcies, which resulted in 10 store closures between 2019 and 2020. Notably, the final two available spaces are in the final stages of lease negotiations, positioning the center for full stabilization.

This achievement highlights LMC’s ongoing commitment to strategic leasing, tenant mix optimization, and value creation across its portfolio. The recognition from LIBN underscores the effectiveness of LMC’s proactive and client-focused approach to property management and leasing execution.
