Slim’s Irish Pub Now Open at Centre Plaza in Bensalem, Pa

Modern Eatery Brings Classic Pub Fare to Levin-Managed Center

Slim’s Irish Pub is now open for business at Centre Plaza, bringing an exciting new dining option to the Bensalem community just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The restaurant occupies the 5,100-square-foot space that formerly housed Brady’s Irish Pub, a long-time Centre Plaza staple that has been rebranded and renovated under its new ownership.

Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 44,000-square-foot Centre Plaza, which is located on Galloway Road. LMC Leasing Representative Fred Younkin negotiated the lease on behalf of the property ownership.

“Centre Plaza shoppers and local residents alike have long appreciated the presence of an Irish restaurant at this location,” said Younkin. “Slim’s Irish Pub is a fully modernized, contemporary concept that has broad appeal, and we are thrilled it has opened its doors here. We are confident Slim’s will be a traffic-driving destination for the shopping center and a great addition to the local restaurant landscape.”

Slim’s Irish Pub is a new business venture for Kevin Beard, a Bensalem resident who has roots in the local community; he has partnered with Vince Finazzo to launch the restaurant. Beard previously operated a Domino’s Pizza franchise at Centre Plaza.

“We’ve created an amazing atmosphere for patrons in this completely renovated space, including having one of the largest TV screens in the area,” said Beard. “Our menu is comprised of bar food as well as classic Irish favorites, in some cases with a twist. Standouts include our famous lamb chops, and a Shepherd’s pie made from scratch. We also have a wide selection of high-end tequilas.”

The family-run restaurant’s name pays homage to Beard’s father-in-law, Thomas Lally, a thin Irish gentleman whose nickname was “Slim.” The bar area incorporates photos of Lally, who passed away in 2004. The tagline in the restaurant’s logo – “It’s a Lally Thing” – also pays tribute.

“I was a tenant at Centre Plaza for 20 years and raised my family in Bensalem,” said Beard. “As a long-time patron of Brady’s Irish Pub, I feel connected to this location and look forward to Slim’s Irish Pub being part of the community for many years to come.”

Located in Bucks County’s largest municipality, Centre Plaza is ideally positioned as a service-oriented neighborhood shopping center. The tenant roster also includes Penn Community Bank, A&S Bagels, Salon 724, M. Rani Eyebrow Threading & Spa, Kathy’s School of Dance, MichKutz barbershop, Team Sports Zone, Tako Japanese Restaurant and LabCorp, among others. The property serves a residential population of 275,000 people within a five-mile radius.
