Five Guys Under New Ownership, New Lease at Blue Star Shopping Center

Levin Management Arranges Commitment at Watchung, N.J., Retail Property

Fast-casual burger restaurant Five Guys is under new ownership at Blue Star Shopping Center and has solidified its commitment at the property with a new lease, announced Levin Management Corporation (LMC), exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 420,000-square-foot property. E.J. Moawad, LMC senior leasing representative, arranged the 2,500-square-foot transaction; Stanton Brown at MSC represented the tenant.

“Blue Star Shopping Center shoppers have appreciated the presence of Five Guys since it opened here in 2007,” said Moawad. “A leader in the fast-casual segment, this popular brand strengthens the property’s appeal for neighborhood dining, retail and services. We look forward to working together with Five Guys’ new ownership for many years to come.”

Anchored by ShopRite, Kohl’s, Marshalls and Michaels, Blue Star Shopping Center’s supporting tenant lineup includes Dollar Tree, The Children’s Place, Sally Beauty, American Freight, and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. The center’s dining mix also includes TGI Friday’s, Wendy’s and Arby’s.

Located on the heavily traveled Route 22 retail corridor, between Terrill and Bonnie Burn roads, Blue Star Shopping Center serves a growing residential population of more than 108,000 people within a three-mile radius. The marketplace offers an average household income of $149,000, and the daily traffic count is 60,000 vehicles.
