COMMACK, N.Y., Jan. 28, 2016 – Regional supermarket chain Best Market recently marked its grand opening at Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack, according to Levin Management, exclusive leasing and managing agent for the property. Located in the heart of Long Island, the 221,000-square-foot shopping center is one of the region’s premier retail destinations.

As Mayfair Shopping Center’s new anchor tenant, the 60,300-square-foot Best Market store is located in the space previously occupied by Waldbaum’s, according to Matthew K. Harding, president of Levin Management.

“Best Market is a locally owned grocer, and this newest location complements the chain’s other stores throughout Long Island,” he said. “There have been some great improvements made to the space, and consumers can expect to find a wide selection of fresh foods and rare grocery items presented in a bright, friendly shopping environment. We are confident Best Market will be a wonderful anchor for Mayfair Shopping Center and a great amenity for the community.”

With locations in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey, Best Market has been owned by the Raitses family since its first store opened in 1994. Best Market focuses on fresh foods, especially produce, meat, seafood, deli, dairy and bakery items, as well as traditional grocery store items.
