Levin Adds Two New Tenants at Twin City Shopping Center in Jersey City, N.J.

Cajun Restaurant Hook & Reel, Apple Nail Salon Lease a Combined 10,000 SF

JERSEY CITY, N.J., Oct. 30, 2019 – Levin Management Corporation (LMC) has announced two new tenant commitments totaling 10,000 square feet at Twin City Shopping Center in Jersey City. Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood and Bar and Apple Nail Salon have leased 8,350 square feet and 1,650 square feet, respectively.

LMC serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 95,000-square-foot shopping center located at the Jersey City-Bayonne border at the intersection of Garfield Avenue/Broadway and 53rd Street. LMC Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad arranged both leases.

Fast-growing dining concept Hook & Reel opened its first New Jersey restaurant earlier this year in West Orange and has plans to expand in several more sites around the Garden State, according to its website. The casual family restaurant brand, which began in Maryland in 2013, provides an authentic New Orleans dining experience. Its menu celebrates the flavorful cuisine of Louisiana by pairing fresh seafood with authentic Cajun seasonings, fresh garlic and zesty lemon. Customers pick their “catch,” sauce and level of spicing. Igal Nassim of Mason Asset Management served as tenant broker for Hook & Reel in the Twin City Shopping Center lease.

“Hook & Reel is a great fit for this property,” said Moawad. “We have worked hard to enhance and diversify the tenant mix and dining options here, and this concept will serve as another anchor for the center’s restaurant component. Hook & Reel will be a significant traffic generator and contribute to Twin City’s overall appeal and ‘destination’ atmosphere.” The property’s dining options also include Taco Bell, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Wendy’s and Dunkin’.

Apple Nail Salon will offer a variety of nail care services in a clean and friendly atmosphere. “Service-oriented tenants optimize the retail mix at any shopping center,” noted Moawad. “Apple Nail Salon represents another outstanding option for the local community.”

Twin City Shopping Center’s co-tenancy also includes Aqui Market, Retro Fitness, Kidz Village, Everything $.99 and T-Mobile, along with a host of neighborhood conveniences. Bolstered by exceptional demographics, Twin City Shopping Center serves a residential population of more than 181,000 people within a three-mile radius.

One 1,950-square-foot retail availability remains at Twin City Shopping Center.

For nearly seven decades, LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. The firm today maintains a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of approximately 105 properties totaling 15 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, offering leasing, property management, financial management and reporting, construction and development, lease administration, marketing services, and acquisition and disposition consulting services. LMC’s capabilities continue to evolve with new technologies, efficiencies and sustainability-focused initiatives to serve a new generation of properties, investors and tenants.
