Three New Retail Tenants Coming to Liberty Center in Erie, Pa.

Recent Commitments Reflect Leasing Momentum at Levin-Managed Center

ERIE, Pa., Oct. 22, 2020 – Three new tenants are coming to Liberty Center in Erie, announced Levin Management Corporation (LMC). The additions – including clothing stores Materialistic Women’s Boutique and Truth Clothing (3,400 square feet each), and restaurant Triple D’s Tastey Grill (2,300 square feet) – continue a flurry of leasing activity at the 230,000-square-foot shopping center.

LMC serves as exclusive managing agent for the 230,000-square-foot Liberty Center, located at the intersection of Liberty and W. 38th Streets just west of Peach Street. Sherry Bauer, broker/owner of SBRE - Sherry Bauer Real Estate Services, arranged the latest transactions as LMC’s local leasing representative.

The three fall leases follow commitments by Stumpy’s Hatchet House and Northern Lights Hydroponics earlier this year; both recently opened at the property. “Great things are happening at Liberty Center,” said Bauer. “Materialistic Women’s Boutique, Truth Clothing and Triple D’s Tastey Grill are wonderful additions that will enhance the diversity of the tenant base and attract even more shoppers to the center.”

All three stores are family-owned and operated ventures for business owner Shateria Franklin, an Erie native. “Liberty Center’s central location makes it an attractive place to establish and grow these new shops,” she said. “Each will provide a personalized and one-of-a-kind experience. We are looking forward to bringing our visions to life, and are thrilled to be part of this shopping center and the larger Erie retail community.”

Materialistic Women’s Boutique, which currently operates as an online store, will offer the latest trends in women’s/misses clothing, along with shoes, bags and accessories. In addition to providing high-quality fashions in a modern and elegant setting, the boutique will offer clients personal styling services. Truth Clothing will sell logo-based brand casual clothing for women, men and kids. Merchandise includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, denim fashions, accessories, and bookbags among other items. Truth Clothing will also sell its own brand of water.

Triple D’s Tastey Grill represents the first brick-and-mortar location for Franklin’s established food truck business that has been successfully operating outside the Erie County Courthouse. “Our concept already has a strong customer base,” Franklin said. “We are looking forward to expanding our menu at this physical diner-style location while keeping the same family feel. Along with our wide selection of American favorites and wings, we plan to add breakfast items as well as a dinner menu with rotating specials.”

Liberty Center is anchored by supermarket chain Tops Friendly Markets. In addition to the new leases and recent openings, the center also includes Dollar Tree, Harbor Freight Tools, Fred’s Furniture, Rent-A-Center, PA Wine & Spirits, PNC Bank and Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, among others. These businesses serve a growing residential population of more than 117,000 people within a three-mile radius.

Retail availabilities at Liberty Center range from 2,800 square feet to 28,500 square feet.

For nearly seven decades, North Plainfield, N.J.-based LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners.
