Upscale American Restaurant and Sports Bar Enhances Dining Mix at Levin-Managed Shopping Center
WOODBRIDGE, N.J., Aug. 1 2016 – Upscale new-American restaurant and sports bar Blu Alehouse recently celebrated the grand opening of its second New Jersey location at St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge. The 340,000-square-foot Middlesex County shopping center, located at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 1 & 9, and Route 35, is exclusively leased and managed by Levin Management.
“We are excited to bring Blu Alehouse to St. Georges Crossing,” said Jordan Korris, Levin’s leasing representative for the property. “The restaurant has broad appeal, offering family-friendly dining as well as a lively night time atmosphere. Blu Alehouse represents a significant addition to the local dining scene, and we expect it to enjoy tremendous success at this location.”
Blu Alehouse, which opened its original location in Riverdale, N.J., in 2014, occupies the 12,300-square-foot space that formerly housed Shannon Rose Irish Pub. Beautifully renovated inside and out with a contemporary look and feel, Blu Alehouse combines New American dining with an upscale sports bar atmosphere.
The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner, and offers patrons approximately 68 craft and domestic beers on tap, and the largest video wall in the northeast featuring televisions that showcase sporting and pay per view events such as UFC and MMA fights. Weekly specials include happy hour drink specials and small bites in the lounge Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30p.m., and half price bottles of wine during “Wine Wednesdays.” The restaurant also accommodates private events.
“We offer a menu of creative American cuisine in a very stylish and modern setting,” said Tom Blume, general manager. “The aesthetic we created here is warm and inviting. All our food is made fresh from scratch. Along with traditional pub fare and comfort food, we pride ourselves on our extensive menu which includes such diverse options as lobster risotto and filet mignon kabobs. There is something here for every demographic of restaurant-goer: we are kid and family friendly, and offer the perfect destination to watch a sporting event, conduct a business meeting, enjoy a girls’ night out or have a date night.”
Anchored by ShopRite, P.C. Richard & Son, TJ Maxx, PetSmart and Pier 1 Imports, St. Georges Crossing offers a mix of retail, restaurant and service tenants including AutoZone, Bertucci’s restaurant, Wine Country, Verizon Wireless, European Wax Center, Visionworks, Taco Bell and GameStop, among others. The center serves a residential population of more than 352,000 people within a five-mile radius, and a daytime population of 160,000 in those same five miles. The daily traffic count exceeds 100,000 vehicles.
