Off-Price Fashion Retailer Occupies 23,000 SF at Levin-Managed Shopping Center


WOODBRIDGE, N.J. Sept 24, 2015 – T.J.Maxx, one of the nation’s largest off-price fashion retailers, recently opened its newest Garden State location at St. Georges Crossing in Woodbridge. Levin Management, the property’s exclusive leasing and managing agent, constructed the new 23,000-square-foot, free-standing store on an underutilized parcel of land adjacent to the original St. Georges Crossing site.

Levin spearheaded the off-market land purchase, secured the T.J.Maxx lease and obtained site plan approval for the new building. This enabled the firm to seize the opportunity to bring another nationally recognized anchor tenant to the fully leased, 340,000-square-foot Middlesex County shopping center.

“This transaction underscores our ongoing effort to elevate and maximize competitive positioning for our clients’ properties. Tenant mix is a big part of that effort, and adding a quality anchor tenant like T.J.Maxx is a real win for St. Georges Crossing,” said Matthew K. St. Georges Crossing is located at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 1 & 9, and Route 35. Anchored by ShopRite, P.C. Richard & Son, PetSmart and Pier 1 Imports, the center’s mix of retail, restaurant and service tenants includes Golf Galaxy, Shannon Rose, AutoZone, Bertucci’s restaurant, Wine Country, Verizon Wireless, European Wax Center, Visionworks and Taco Bell, among others.

The center serves a residential population of more than 350,000 people within a five-mile radius, and a daytime population of more than 160,000 in those same five miles. The daily traffic count exceeds 100,000 vehicles per day.
